Positano, Italy - Part I

I realized I never finished uploading the series of pictures of our Europe trip this past summer. I have a couple more spots to show you and a few more stories! Positano was by far our favorite spot to visit. We highly recommend it, and if we had tons of money that's where we would live.  This is how we found out about Positano: Chris was looking at pictures of Italy in Google images! (classy) when we were planing our trip, we saw a picture and we said, yeap. we have to go there.
Little did we know how complicated it was going to be to arrive to this beautiful town! but boy was it worth it! We came from Rome, to Naples to Sorrento to Positano! all in one day, the trains kept getting smaller and crappier as we got closer until we ended up in a bus...and we kept getting more and more annoyed and tired.
At some point I thought to myself there is no way this place is worth all this traveling.. but then the bus turned a corner an there is was, the amazing sea view... wow! we both said, this is better than the pictures we saw! We couldn't stop looking out the window and taking pictures.

In a nutshell Positano is a small town built around a mountain. There's one street that goes up, and one street that goes down. Most people that live there don't own cars.. they simply hike up and down everyday...  We loooved our hotel there, except for the fact that it was about a 30 minute hike to go downtown and to the beach. The first few days we were so excited we didn't care we went up and down multiple times! but the next few days our legs were in so much pain we quickly learned to plan our trips down and up the mountain.

Our favorite restaurant there was Lo Guarracino amazing food and an unbelievable views, the people were super nice (which it's not common in Italy once they figure out you speak English), and of course like usual their wine is cheaper than their water...
so, wine it is!

I loved how colorful everything was in the beach, from the umbrellas to the towels to the swimsuits! just big splashes of color everywhere you looked.
